The Markets of the Northern rivers, I find to be a synecdoche of the region as a whole, and therefore one of the best places to understand the essence and culture of the area.
The businesses that you find at the markets include florists, weavers, hat-makers, and primary producers of a multiplicity of fruit and vegetables. On the right day you'll even have live music.
It has been my pleasure through my full-time occupation to be able to visit so many of the markets and to report on the people, their goals, and their challenges.
